The Producer in the Machine.
Producing means carrying the creative vision and the operational reality simultaneously, under pressure, across years, with real money and real talent on the line. It means knowing where a decision that looks cheap today becomes the most expensive mistake of the schedule.
This is the standard of scrutiny I bring to every AI engagement.
When a studio comes to me, the question is never "which tool should we use." It is: what does your pipeline actually look like, where are the decision points that AI could accelerate or quietly compromise, and does your organization have the culture and leadership structure to absorb a change of this magnitude. Most are still trying to figure that out. That gap is where I work.
The rarest thing in this space is not a prompt engineer. It is a producer who learned where a pipeline breaks, and can now tell you exactly where AI will find that same seam.
